The Christmas Season

This is my very first Gingerbread House - And it was so much fun to make. The stained glass came out so awesome that I could not stop looking at it. I love this time of year. The winding down of a year. The anticipation of what a new year will bring. Baking and cooking. Wrapping and decorating. Egg Nog!! Waking up voluntarily before dawn to open presents because you begged Mr. G to open them on Christmas Eve. And when he finally gives in you decide to wait. Eating Chinese food from China Palace or as we refer to it...."the china dinah" The anticipation of going on vacation and having time at home with family and friends. My house always smells like cinnamon and spice and the twinkle lights make it look perfect! Tonight is decorating night at the Pike compound. It is going to be full on Christmas EXTRAVAGANZA!!!!
