definition of a.....

[to those who know me you will find this pretty much spot on]

so, recently i took a predictive index test as we are working to incorporate a tool like this when hiring people. not as a final result mind you but an assessment based on personality that we may not be able to pick up on during an interview.

Mine broke down as follows: [laugh all you want oh siblings and parents of mine]

  • risk-taking, daring, and focus on future goals; more concerned with where she's going than either how she'll get there, or where she's been. adaptable, operates flexibly.
  • makes decisions and takes action, even with little proof confirming her decision. confident in her own ideas and unimpressed with tradition.
  • flexible approach to "the book;" often bends the rules and does things her own way. an innovative, out of the box thinker who is undaunted by failure.
  • pro-activity, assertiveness, and sense of urgency in driving to reach her goals. openly challenges the world around her.
  • independent in putting forth her own ideas, which are often innovative and, if implemented, cause change. resourcefully works through or around anything blocking completion of what she wants to accomplish; aggressive when challenged
  • impatient for results, she puts pressure on herself and others for rapid implementation, and is far less productive when doing routine work.
Summary:
is a very independent, confident, decisive, self-starter, intense and driving. she has a strong sense of urgency, can react and adjust quickly to changing conditions, generate novel ideas, and deal with them swiftly.

her drive is directed at getting the things done which she believes need to be done. competitive, ambitious and venturesome, she responds positively and actively to challenge and pressure, always sure of her ability to handle authoritative than persuasive in her style. she talks briskly with assurance and conviction and is a stimulating influence on others, while being direct, determined and flexible in dealing with them.

she is sure of the value of her own judgments and opinions, persistent in defending them if put under pressure to change them. she will question and challenge established company policies or systems and strive to prove in action the value of her own ideas for change.

more concerned with the achievement of goals than she is with the details of how things get done. will freely delegate to others with loose follow up, but with demand and pressure for timely results. ingenious and venturesome, will become restless and dissatisfied if required to work under close control or to do work which is routine or highly structured. very much a generalist. is more concerned with the strategies involved in reaching her goals than with specific or detailed tactics.

my take? yup i'm a bad-ass bitch through and thru.

  2. HAHAHA - so spot on, and I think you and I have very similar working styles. I especially love the "ingenious and venturesome, will become restless and dissatisfied if required to work under close control or to do work which is routine or highly structured." Yup. That's the Duclos way.
