Working It Out

Back in April of 2010 I posted that my friends and I were going to start doing P90X. If you want a refresh you can read that post here and here.

Admittedly my desire to continue with this program was at an all time low. And, I didn't feel as good as I hoped I would. Why? Because I was at the very beginning stages of a very very long road. I attempted to start the program over more than once. I would come home from work and dread having to work out for over an hour when I had so many other things that needed to be done. I wasn't eating right and the holidays were rapidly approaching. MY time was limited.

I have to share that something did happen with the completion of this program. I did feel better, I did feel stronger and I constantly felt guilt for not attempting to work out more. This was an odd experience for me since I've quit every gym in the Seacoast area more than once and have never felt an ounce of guilt to go along with that decision.

So my battle to continue, continued. With on and off starts throughout the winter months I felt despair setting in once again. And then I decided I needed a change. I made the commitment to do ONE round of Insanity based on my sister in-laws reccomendation. Its only for 60 days and whats the worst thing that can happen?

Hell....that's what happened.

If anyone ever tells you that Insanity was a breeze I want you to know that they are lying to your FACE! So with the completion of this program I gave myself a GOLD STAR...you're welcome self!

Star is hanging in my workout area as a reminder that if you put your mind to it YOU CAN do anything.

The journey continues. I'm in the process of training to do a 5K race on Thanksgiving Day with my Sister I haven't done a race in well over 10 years. I'm a little nervous.
