Breathe In Breathe Out.....

This is what Oskar was doing Saturday morning standing in front of the door. Think of someone who is trying to remain calm. Dudes had a little upset stomach but I couldn't stop myself from laughing at him.

SO MUCH has been going on!

First - We had dinner with Sarah and Jason McCrusty oops I mean McCluskey. They are here visiting family and friends and what a wonderful visit it was. It is so wonderful being able to spend time with them and we laughed the entire night away. I love them and wish we weren't so far apart. The dinner menu was spectacular. [because I was cooking]
Delmonico Steaks
Squash Bombs
Baby Potatoes
And - horrible nasty feaux cheesecake things which we didn't eat.

The best part about the night? Was just taking a moment to listen to my husband and Jason laughing away. And having one of my closest friends sitting just an arms length away. So so special.

I can't say that I didn't wake up with a little storm cloud circulating in my head but there was much to be done in the yard!! We were up and at it first thing Saturday and what a job  we did! Some time ago I was discussing with Geoff all the things I wanted to do in the yard. And ladies believe me when I tell you this guy makes it all come true.

First up was the garden box for the larger vegetables like squash - leeks - tomato's etc. Geoff helped me with all the measuring but I put the whole thing together myself. Power Tools and ALL!!

the box with a heavy tarp to keep stuff from popping through.

no photo would be complete with out a little help from The Dude
And do you see that box to the right??? That is my little hot house for seeds that Geoff made me! It totally rocks!

Once we were done with that it was back to raking the remainder of the yard. The final section in the front was completed with multiple wheel barrel runs...ooooooof! I'm glad that part is finally over. I then had to turn my attention to Geoff as he was working away adding a little length to the deck. And before you knew it we were done!!!

The new deck!!

lots of room for FOURTH-A-PALOOZA

Then I had to get cracking on my flirty apron swap and find all the little sweet tuck ins to go with it. That included a trip to MARDENS with Mom and a little lunchie lunch afterward at Mikes Clam Shack. I'll post pictures after the swap but for now I've got to get that package in the mail.
