OK - So I must confess, I have had a massive case of blogger block. Sometimes you can over complicate the smallest things in your life. And then, I had an epiphany!! As an interjection to my everyday life post I'm going to work on writing more about well, ME. I thought I may have used up all my funny stories but I assure you there are quite a few that have bubbled up to the surface lately. I will label this segment: Becoming ME. You will be introduced to a cast of characters that have greatly impacted my life and greatly influenced my ever so amazing sense of humor. Never hang out with people who don't make you laugh. What's the point in that?
As an update and homage to my AMAZING husband I have to share with you birthday week. And all the wonderful people who contributed in making my transition into a new decade special.
Birthday WEEK was awesome. And now that he has raised the bar I will expect nothing less going forward.
Monday January 17th - On the first day of birthday week my true love gave to me....MAC OSX 10.6
Tuesday January 18th - On the second day of birthday week my true love gave to me.....A ZIPPO Lighter which he swore he would never buy for me again if I lost my other one. Technically I didn't. I had that lighter for over 16 years and dropped it down the nasty drain hole in the garage. So I know exactly where it is.
Wednesday January 19th - Official Birthday - I came into work with lovely flowers on my desk...cards that made me smile, a beautiful hammered and letter stamped bracelet, a wonderful lunch with my colleagues and longtime friends. Geoff cooked me dinner - I had carrot cake to which Geoff sung happy birthday to me in all of the dogs voices. And a brand new pair of Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses. [wooooooooooosh - i know totally spoiled!!!!!!]
Thursday January 20th - On the fourth day of Birthday Week my true love gave to me.....a thick pair of marino woolie socks. And my Mom made me amazing socks that are all cabled and totally gorgeous!!!!!!! plus a new cast iron skillet for muffins and other yummy things.
Friday January 21st - On the fifth day of Birthday Week my true love gave to me....a sound chord for my computer and some fleecy fingerless gloves...[that are awesome and i love them very much]
Saturday January 22nd - On the last day of Birthday Week my true love gave to me....Surprised me with friends coming over and taking me out to my favorite Italian restaurant Mimmos!
Thank you so much Geoff for making my birthday so special and amazing. I love you. And a big thank you to everyone who remembered me on my birthday. I'm so lucky to have amazing people in my life.
