Deep Thoughts With Jack Handy

Actually Jack was nowhere to be found so you'll have to deal with me instead.

At work we have a couple of food baskets for donations during the Holiday's. I'm always willing to put a few cans of something in there by raiding my cabinets for things that I have extra of. This year involved an entire jar of Jalapenos. Which apparently became the talk of the baskets as I overheard folks commenting on said jar. "Who brings in Jalapenos for Thanksgiving?" I thought it was brilliant! Maybe some people don't like turkey and want to burn a nice hole in their stomach. I mean really its free you don't have to take it if you don't want it but I'm guessing someone out there will be happy with it.

The other night I dreamed that I was in middle school with my nephew and we didn't complete our homework. He actually showed me a secret hiding room in the ceiling where they had stolen the new Harry Potter movie and were watching it. I fell through the ceiling and was sent to the office for not doing my homework. What could any of that possibly mean?

Husbands and Wives rarely see eye to eye on house work. The other day I told Geoff to carve a slice out of his man bubble and take a look around at his real life. Although I said this in all my grumpiness I immediately laughed after it came out of my mouth. Because, it was kinda funny. I know its harsh my love....but you know I love  you more than anything.

This years Pike family present has been decided. We are buying a generator. I couldn't be happier. This ranks right up there with my garage door opener and my dust buster. [this is not sarcasm folks this is the real deal!!!] We've lost power two years in a row during the coldest months of the year. This year......we will WIN!!!

How often are you asked this question during a call. Are you familiar with Newtons Law? [insert...dammmit I should have listened to my physical science teacher in h.s. but I was to busy coloring and trying to figure out if his leather vest was genuine nahga or genuine pleather. Think Woody Allen's lost brother.

I love this time of year. I wonder if that is why I'm so scatter brained. I often hear people getting grouchy, grumpy, blah, moody etc. But for me this is when the magic happens. I believe that people are in control of how they want to celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Look around you and be happy for what you have. As someone recently told me tomorrow is not guaranteed.

I can't end a post with that much seriousness. Buddy The Elf!!! Whats your favorite color???
