There are many different names for this game...bags, bean bag toss etc. Because I could not remember how many bags per team were needed I had to do a little research. But before I get there I need to back up a bit. I was introduced to this game, as a competitive sport last summer at my Sister-In Laws parents house. I had never witnessed such full on aggressiveness and intensity as this game. I was not jumping in to play...NO WAY! I should also add that her family is awesome! Very very nice, fun people. The summer continued with the Pikes joining in on competitive family goodness. We concluded that we would make our own set...Hence the photos above.
It was during my research that I found out the REAL name of this game. Please allow me to introduce you to "The American Cornhole Association" otherwise known to cornhole community as The ACA. For those in the circle of trust you already know how immature I am. For those of you who don't know me all that well...I am amazingly immature for my age and for being a girl. All I could see was Beavis & Butthead and I started to giggle. But Geoff summed it up perfectly by adding this...Hmmm really? That is the name of the game? Weird. Can you imagine..."Hey son, you wanna go play cornhole?" Which I have been laughing at for two days now. I know I know but it is funny.
