The Soup Lady is actually MY MOM! Who knew? And you can read about her and all her crafty cooking here.
Awhile back she decided that she was going to make soups and distribute them to local businesses. And what a little business she has. She delivers to a number of upscale clients in the Portsmouth NH area. And makes about four or five different soups a week.
A few weeks ago I had the delightful pleasure of eating "Campbells Italian Wedding Soup" when it went crunch...and I froze not wanting to know what that was but having to look. You know instantly it is never good when a soup that has no crunch.....crunches. The good news is it was not a thumb. The nasty news is...it was a Wasp.....eeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww...I called my mother that very second. The call went something like this...
Ring Ring: "Ahhhlo"
Mom!
Oh helllo
Mom! I need you to put me on your soup distribution list!
Oh - Okeeee!
I had a wasp in my soup!!!!! I'm never buying canned soup again!
pause - silence
oh! chuckle chuckle chuckle that is bad....chuckle chuckle chuckle.
So last week my first shipment arrived. And I should not fail to mention that I was a dollar short for my order. What a terrible daughter I am!!! It was Broccoli Cheddar Soup and it was AMAZINGLY GOOD! You can see her recipe here.
If your looking for great soups and your in the seacoast area you should get in touch with her...The Soup Lady. Tell her I sent you!!!!! [I like the free samples].
