at six years older than me he was the quintessential seventies teenager 

to my second grade awesomeness

and he loved loved loved music

van halens first album came out in 1978

it was nasty hard core hard rock greatness

shortly after that we suffered a period in music that can be categorized into two segments

bad and really really bad

however,

the 80's did bring us MTV 

the best thing to come about since

Friday Night Videos [yeah i'm that old]

it was during a session of watching MTV before my junior year of high school

that i was totally blown away.

you see when Guns and Roses were still Gun's and Roses

they were pardon my french

fuckin awesome!!

nobody did what they did

and the video for 

welcome to the jungle made my blood thin

so as i was driving home the other night after running some errands

welcome to the jungle came on

and i couldn't help myself

i cranked that bitch up and proceeded to 

sing

play air guitar

drummed on my steering wheel

and dance in my seat

it was nothing short of this right here
[minus the booze, drinking and almost dieing in the garage part] 

and i must say it was pure bliss.

then i felt kinds stupid but hey nobody saw me and i was flyin solo.

so to get your friday cracked wide open i highly suggest  you blast 

this song today.

sing as loud as you can

play that air guitar like a bad ass mofo

what's on deck for the weekend

well its date night so we are off to see our friends at

another snow storm is set to hit us on sunday

that makes three storms in a row.

i have great visions of skyrim too
