Kigel Recipe

its snowing!
wouldn't it be a great time to make
some
sugary yummy goodness?
i think so too
my good friend mr. matt was kind enough to share this
with us.
thank you matt!
now
lets get started

the recipe:
2 cups of flour
1/4 cup of sugar
1 pkg. rapid rise yeast (very important to use rapid rise)
1 egg
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 a stick of hard butter (or 1/4 cup)

the process:
heat milk and margarine together in a microwavable container. in your mixer bowl add sugar, 3/4 of the flour and packet of yeast. pour in hot liquids and beat (musical interlude here) add the egg and remaining flour and beat. (musical interlude here)

grease a large bowl and let rise for one hour.

preheat oven to 350 degrees.

once the dough has risen break off into a dozen or more pieces.

roll pieces of dough out thin

coat with vegetable oil

sprinkle on the magic of cinnamon sugar

fold the dough "S" style

place in a lightly greased deep dish

repeat until all the dough is coated - sugared - and folded. it should look like this when you are done.

oh yeah!!!

bake for 45 - 50 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.

find a good movie to watch - grab a coffee or tea and hunker down with dudes, steve and a big blanket.
i suggest a long movie...this is a big dish!!!

ENJOY!!
