this may be confusing.
CHICKEN & DUMPLINGS IN THE CROCK:
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless chicken breast
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup
- bisquick
- water
Directions:
- place chicken breast in the crock [haha that sounds funny]
- dice up your medium onion and place on top of the chicken
- pour both cans of soup on top
- cover with water [i sprinkled a little flour to thicken up the gravy]
i cooked mine on low heat when i left for work this sat for about 8.5 hours and was cooked perfect. the directions called to cook on high heat for 4 to 5 hours.
it also called for pre-made biscuit dough. i used bisquick and followed the drop biscuit recipe on the box.
- 2 cups of bisquick
- 2/3 cup of milk
mix together and drop by the spoon on top of the gravy. i also let this sit for almost an hour while doing other stuff around the house.
boom ya done! i literally wanted to lick the crock pot but it was to hot. this was good for two people with leftovers for lunch. if your cooking for a bigger crowd you can easily double up on the ingredients.
let me know if you try it and if you loved it as much as geoff, dudes and steve did!
Thanks for the recipe. Sounds like a great comfort dish to me.
