This is a new place right next to My favorite Chinese place. The food is way over priced. The service is horrible. And we couldn't be more disappointed.
I always take issue with staff that pay more attention to my husband and discard me as an after thought. Not making eye contact with the good looking guys wife never earns a lot of points. Not only that, I could not get her attention to place a drink order while she sat and gazed at the Red Sox game. Geoff had to get her attention to order my drink. As a side not to this. Nobody drinks Guinness out of a can. PLEASE present a glass when serving this beer.
The menu looked fantastic but it was a little pricey I thought. They had all the filling pasta dishes that make you want to scarf down a loaf of bread and sauce. However, we were presented with a menu and then proceeded to wait almost 25 min before we were asked if we needed anything. I was officially irritated. We asked for the check and left.
The sad part? The owner of this restaurant Mr. DiGiacomo has passion for what he is doing..based on this article that I found. Poor customer service can kill a restaurant. And based on the food that was being served to the couple next to us it looked and smelled really good. I also feel very strongly about supporting local establishments. JJ always took good care of us and when we ran into him at Greenleaves prior to the opening he came right over to chat with us. I suppose we expected to much.
