Some weekends go buy especially fast! This weekend was certainly one of those times. I even had the added advantage of getting out of work early on Friday. This led to a massive dilemma of, go shopping? do groceries, clean the upstairs cave? I opted for cleaning the cave because this was the most cost effective of my plans. I don't know about you but when I'm preparing to go on vacation I like to have my house cleaned as if the Queen were coming to stay. I'm not sure what kind of compulsive illness this is but this is my mission for the week.
Saturday I was off to Acorn Organic Salon to see my favorite Hair Doctor Laura. Going to see Laura is such a treat. She is one of those people that even when she is having a terrible day she makes you feel special and important. She is the best and I'm telling you right now if you have not gone to this salon YOU MUST give them a call. They have the BEST products and do such a wonderful job. There is not a salon in the Seacoast area that does a better job. This visit was a new adventure for me. I got a perm!! And I totally love it. I didn't love the fact that she "Water Boarded" me while rinsing out the rollers. And she managed to talk me into this with a smile. As if, everyone does this Renee, it will only be a minute. I was so traumatized with a wet towel covering my face and my eyes squeezed so tight that I started seeing colors. I "nearly" started crying. But alas, I was saved and could breath air once again. Thank you Laura!! you always do such a great job with my hair and make me feel totally awesome. You are the best!
Saturday night was a family affair - All us crazies got together and had dinner at my favorite dinner hole. Mimmos. I ate close to 9 loaves of bread I'm sure of it. The food was amazing. The wine was flowing and a good time was had by all. Well, I had a blast! and it was terrific to see everyone. Although we forgot our camera so there are no family photos. After that my brother Mike, his lovely bride Sylvie and my Cee-ster came back to the house. We chatted and then had to call it a night.
Sunday I made bread so the house smelled amazing! Geoff took the Dude for a walk in the rain and I got laundry done. We grilled some steak and watched "Heavens Prisoners" with a very young Alec Baldwin. The book is by James Lee Burke and I absolutely love the character Dave Robicheaux. Good movie, Great! Book.
That's the weekend re-cap folks. What did you do this weekend?
