`Team Beer Pike - Life Changes - Honesty Post

This picture pretty much sums up my relationship with Patty. I have known her since my very first day of High School. She made fun of me for my lame 80's outfit. Passing me a note asking me if I was wearing an egg around my neck. Fast forward 25 years..............

I'm only posting this because she did.....you can read about it here This weekend marks another major change in our lives. Sunday we will be starting P90X. An intense 90 day fitness program that will hopefully make that ever growing double chin of mine disappear. Part of this challenge comes from some other life changes that needed to be made but I'm not ready to share that with the blogging community just yet. I will in my own time. Those of you who know me know what that is. The good news is, is that we passed the fitness test which I had very high anxiety over. So even though chunky I can still meet the minimum requirements....Story of My Life. Along with taking this test we had to do pre-photos to show what the before looked liked. These pictures put me in a state of deep depression. NO I'm not even joking. I've only looked at them once. I don't plan on looking at them for at least 30 days. Hopefully I can see progress at that point. So we have arranged the garage and set it up as our gym. Gym Flooring, weights, bands, yoga mats, yoga blocks and a can do attitude.

This whole thing came about due to an infomercial that Geoff and I saw one rainy afternoon. I said...I'd like to give that a try. And much to my surprise Geoff said I'll do it with you. I was shocked and decided I would wait to see how serious he was about it. In the mean time Patty and I were discussing the need to  get rid of the fat and she mentioned P90X. This pretty much sealed the deal.

Today all four members of Team Beer Pike began the process of change. I'll let you know how things are progressing as the next 90 days go by. Until then........BRING IT
