Made it!

Oi! This weekend was a stress buster at best. The Seacoast was battered yet againg with another brutal storm. Power was out for days. Trees. Lots of LARGE trees were down. Lines snapped. Telephone polls toppled over one another. It looked like total chaos! An entire block of Hampton Beach  burned to the ground and there were fears that it was going to be much much worse. Team Beer saved the day by bringing us a generator! Thank you JAMES! We wouldn't have made it without you. At least we were warm and could watch TV.
We took a long dog walk on Saturday as we all needed to de-stress a little. And were still amazed at the carnage the storm left behind. I did manage to make it over to The Portsmouth Fabric Company What a great store. They have all the pretty fabricy things I'm looking for. Not that country granny stuff that seems to be over taking the commercial stores. They have AMAZING glass buttons and vintage buttons and fabrics to. I'm in love and will be headed back there again. We also popped into the new CUPCAKE store called The Old Stove Bake Shoppe. It's new and her web site isn't up yet. But as soon as it is I'll post it. They only had two butter pecan cupcakes left so we passed on that. Then we went over to Margaritas for some sweet nectar and a snack. Ordered take out and headed back to the storm front. I completed Oskars dog bed for the car. Its so pretty and I'll post about it later in the week. All and all we survived. No damage to the house but some trees did fall next door. Geoff got to play with the chain-saw and amaze his nephew on his Pinah skillability. And that is the weekend in review folks.
