whats in your kitchen??

I don't know about your house but the kitchen is the hubbub of it all around here. No matter what the occasion may be somebody is always standing in the kitchen. Holidays - Weekends - Weekdays....it does not matter. So while I hustle and bustle around making stuff or destroying stuff as sometimes happens in this room, I chat with whoever may be hanging out at the time.

Years ago I made a command decision and I put this comfy piece of furniture in the room.

My husband thought I had gone right round the bend. However, it's the best addition I've ever done. I love that people will plop themselves down on the couch with a book, magazine, knitting or a dog and just hang out. A lot of conversations take place in this little space so why not be comfy doing it? Right?

Plus - Its so much fun seeing peoples face when they come into the house....Everyone says the same thing. You have a couch in your kitchen? Yes, I do. And it never fails to make me giggle when I hear. What a great idea this is.
